FAQs:
Do you offer service?
Yes! We have two Ducati master techs and one Ducati level 2 trained technician as well as Ducati factory tools, a full Dyno room, fuel injection bench, head machine (we NEVER send this work out) and the experience to ensure that your Ducati is in the best hands. Whatever your bike needs we do it the way it should be done.
Do you service other brands of motorcycles?
Yes. All makes and models are welcome!
Will you deal with warranty issues on bikes you did not sell?
Yes. We can address any warranty issue whether you bought your Ducati from us or not.
If I have an issue with my Ducati that is out of the Factory 2 Year Warranty can anything be done about it?
Possibly; if we are able to view the issue first hand and bring it up with the representation from Ducati, we could very well take care of it. Please give us a call or bring the machine by so we can have a look. We also offer the Ever Red by Ducati extended protection plans.
How much do you charge?
Our shop rate is $102.50 per hour and the rate for Dyno time is $62.50 per hour.
That is more than my other repair shop. Why should I pay more?
Where to start? There is so much more that goes into service than the hourly rate reflects. If you want the cheapest labor rate, we are not it. If that were all there was to it, we wouldn’t be here.
What you get for your money at Ducati Minneapolis is the knowledge to diagnose your issues, the experience to know how to address them, and the skill, equipment and training to implement a solution that is right for your bike, cost effective and clearly explained to you. And we stand behind our work—no questions.
So, if you love motorcycling and want your machine to run better than it ever has before, have it serviced by people who take the same pride in working on your machine as you do in owning it. We service your bike the way it should be serviced and we believe in the value we provide our customers.
I had my bike at a repair shop, and they had it for three months and didn't fix the problem. What should I do now?
We hear about this type of experience all too often, even to the extent that their bike has come back in worse shape than it went in.
The good news is our service people love challenges and will do their best to resolve the problems you just couldn’t get sorted out anywhere else. Come in and see what we can do!
Our goal is to get your problem sorted out the first time in a timely fashion. We will explain what is wrong and discuss the options to remedy the issue. If there are alternative solutions, or multiple issues, we will come up with a plan to address the problem with the costs and benefits explained so you can make the best choice for your budget and for your bike.
So, you will never make a mistake on my bike?
We work very hard not to make mistakes, but we aren't perfect. We know that from time to time, we will get something wrong; it just isn't possible to deal with these complex machines and never make any mistake.
We believe that it is important to own up to our mistakes and it is a matter of pride in our shop to do so and to make it right for our customers. We hate to make mistakes and suffer when we do, but our customers don't have to worry about getting a long story from us; if we make a mistake we will make it right for you.
How much is an oil and filter change?
An oil change can range from $80.00 for a Monster with semi-synthetic oil (.5 hour labor) to $140.00 for a Superbike with full synthetic oil (.8 hour labor). Again - we work on any make and model of bike; prices will vary (depending on the amount of body work we will need to remove etc.) but for the most part they will be in the $80.00-$140.00 range. We can do oil changes while you wait if you call ahead to let us know you're coming.
What does the 600 mile service entail?
The 600 mile service includes oil/filter change, chain lube/clean and basic check over, a check of the lights/ turn off the service light and tire pressure check and alter if necessary. Pricing depends on the bike, but usually under 2 hours of labor or a little over $200 including the oil/filter and then any additional parts will obviously increase this.
If you let us know the day before we can usually get it out same day.
We usually reccomend that you come in AFTER you hit the 600 mile mark rather than before, as even if you have done all the serviecs, the light will still come on when the 600 mile mark is reached.
How much is a tire change?
A tire change is $120 (or $60 per tire) plus $2.50 for tire disposal. We have a stock of tires here but if we dont have the ones you want we can order them for you at no additional charge.
How much is a crash estimate?
One hour of labor ($102.50)
Do you offer pickup service?
Yes. Check with us before making other arrangements: we usually charge less and will take better care of your bike than a towing company! Call to arrange pick-ups.
$50-65.00 if the location is within 30/40 mins
$75-85.00 if it’s in the “outer belt” of Minneapolis
